Topaz Lake

Topaz Lake is located on the Nevada/California border 20 miles south of Gardnerville on hwy 395. Topaz has a couple resorts; a couple of launch ramps and a few campgrounds. The locals love the fishing. If you like to ski or ride, either get there early or plan on staying late as the conditions are best then. The views of the nearby mountains are spectacular and the lake itself is more of the high desert style lake with the dry rocky surroundings.
